Important COVID-19 Update March 6, 2020
Unfortunately it is no longer viable to hold the 2020 MIT STAMP Workshop as originally planned due to COVID-19. We are actively exploring all options to postpone the workshop to June/July/August and/or to virtualize parts of it. Meanwhile, the 2020 STAMP workshop registration will remain open and everyone who is registered will be updated as we identify the best path forward.
As some of you know, we have been actively engaging MIT officials and the medical community for guidance around COVID-19 and our upcoming 2020 STAMP Workshop. In late February it appeared that only attendees from at-risk countries would be affected, and we’ve been reaching out to those groups. The MIT President’s Office has now indicated effective immediately that all such events, regardless of attendee origin, should not be held until at least May 15. Although this may not be the answer everyone was hoping for, hopefully we can all appreciate that the safety of attendees and the community must take priority.
Boston has so far had one of the lowest risk levels for COVID-19, but that could change quickly: https://www.bizjournals.com/boston/news/2020/03/06/up-to-175-people-may-have-been-exposed-to.html
Registration is open for the 2020 MIT STAMP Workshop. Registration is free!
Detailed Schedule (Updated Feb 28, 2020)
The first day will provide short tutorials to introduce STAMP, STPA, CAST, and related techniques. These tutorials are different than our STAMP/STPA/CAST training classes; the tutorials are only meant to introduce core concepts to help you follow the talks over the next three days. The following three days involve presentations, panels, and poster sessions from organizations around the world who want to share their experiences with these techniques.
