The STAMP Workshop
STAMP is a new accident causality model based on systems theory and systems thinking that addresses critical challenges in system engineering, safety, and cybersecurity such as complex software, human-decision making and human factors, new technology, social and organizational design, and safety culture. STPA is a powerful new hazard/cybersecurity analysis technique based on STAMP while CAST is the equivalent for accident/incident analysis. These tools are now used globally in almost every industry.

The STAMP Workshop provides an opportunity for practitioners to share their applications and experiences using these analysis techniques. The Workshop includes free tutorials so everyone can participate, regardless of experience with STAMP or the STAMP-based analysis techniques.

The workshop is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Workshop Program and Schedule
The workshop will host presentations, panels, and lightning talks from organizations around the world who want to share their experiences with these techniques. The program will be announced in April. The workshop will include a mix of sessions that are in-person only plus sessions that are broadcast virtually.

The STAMP, STPA, and CAST tutorials are already recorded and available to view any time before the workshop.

Workshop Attendance
The 2022 workshop had over 2,000 registered participants from across industry, government, and academia. Application areas have included aviation, air traffic control, medical devices, healthcare, oil and gas, automotive, railways, chemicals, space, human factors, robots, security, defense, workplace safety, and others.

Many organizations participating in the workshop reported that they have been using STAMP / STPA.
